The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC( held a meeting today, Sunday, chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, with the attendance of its members Sultan al-Arada, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, and via video call Abdul-Rahman al-Mahrami and Othman Majli, while Aidaroos al-Zubaidi, Tariq Saleh and Faraj al-Bahsni were absent with an excuse.

Basuhaib discusses with UN delegation food security project worth 20 million dollars

Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Nizar Basuhaib, discussed in the interim capital, Aden, with a delegation of representatives of United Nations agencies and organizations headed by Saeed Hersi, Deputy Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen, mechanisms for implementing the project to confront malnutrition and food security provided by the Central Emergency Response Fund, at a cost of $20 million.


The meeting also discussed a number of issues and projects related to the Yemen cluster in the project to reduce hunger, which includes food security, health, water and malnutrition clusters, and participatory efforts between the government and international organizations to address the humanitarian situation and plans to support and implement those projects.

Dr. Basuhaib reviewed the difficult humanitarian situation in our country and the challenges, stressing the importance of enhancing joint action between the government and regional and international partners in order to contribute to the implementation of projects concerned with alleviating the suffering of food security.
