Vice Foreign Minister Mustafa Noman chaired an expanded meeting of the National Committee for Refugee Affairs on Wednesday in the interim capital, Aden, to review the status of refugees in Yemen and address ongoing humanitarian, security, and administrative challenges.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including Head of the Immigration and Passports Authority, Major General Mohammed Abdul Qader Al-Ramli, and representatives from various government agencies and international organizations. Discussions focused on the issuance of identity cards for asylum seekers and the need for enhanced coordination in managing refugee affairs.
Vice Minister Noman affirmed the government’s commitment to international laws and agreements on refugee protection, emphasizing the importance of sustained cooperation between national institutions and humanitarian organizations to safeguard the rights and welfare of refugees.
