Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Tarek Saleh has affirmed that the media plays a pivotal role in shaping public awareness and confronting Houthi disinformation.

He emphasized the necessity for media to be impactful, purposeful and accurately directed against the real enemy.

This statement came during his meeting Monday with a group of journalists and activists on the western coast, urging them to enhance their role in combating misinformation and promoting community awareness.

Tarek Saleh called on journalists to engage with the community and address its concerns and aspirations, asserting that media is a tool of influence that must be effective in reality and supportive of the battle against the Iranian project. He pointed out the importance of enhancing community awareness to prevent any Houthi infiltration aimed at recruiting vulnerable individuals for destructive tasks, confirming that media is an essential element for fortifying citizens and addressing any discouragement that may affect their morale.

He also highlighted the security stability achieved on the western coast, thanks to public awareness and the efforts of security and intelligence forces, affirming that development is a complement to the liberation struggle. He called for steadfastness and constant readiness during this phase.

Regarding political differences, the council member stated, "Divergences among political forces are natural, but reaching consensus on common objectives is what matters most," adding that "disagreements fade over time as everyone recognizes their responsibilities."

In a related context, Tarek Saleh noted that the Houthi militia is fleeing from one battle to another due to its inability to face the people's anger, pointing to its continuous exploitation of the Palestinian cause. He affirmed that the Houthi project is a tool in the hands of the Revolutionary Guards, a truth that everyone acknowledges and which the militia cannot deny.

He also pointed out to the marginality of the Houthi militia in Iranian considerations related to Tehran's interests, noting that the militia was informed by Iran via phone about an Iranian-American agreement to halt attacks in the Red Sea, and that the Houthis were obligated by Tehran to comply without any objection, which they did.
