Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

Taiz Deputy Governor discusses with UNICEF humanitarian situations

Deputy Governor of Taiz Abdulqawi al-Mikhlafi discussed Sunday with the Resident Representative of the UNICEF Philip Dumail humanitarian situations in the province.

Al-Mikhlafi reviewed humanitarian suffering of Taizi people over Houthi militia's siege on Taiz City and depriving the province from humanitarian needs and services over continuation of Houthi war on the city and siege on the city, hoping that the organization's interventions and programs will meet sustainable projects in the province.

For his part, the UN official said that his visit to the province aims at inspecting needs and challenges facing Taiz Province and possible meeting of humanitarian services, especially those associated with childhood.

He pointed out that there are priorities in humanitarian field and psychological and social support and taking care of childhood to employ available resources in needs of priority.

A number of offices directors reviewed needs in fields of health, water, education and cleaning and plans associated with these needs.
