Yemen participated on Monday in the 28th Meeting of the Senior Officials' Committee of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA), held in the Indian capital, New Delhi, with a delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs Ousan Al-Awd.
The two-day meeting brings together senior officials from member states to review progress in implementing the association's programs and initiatives and to discuss regional cooperation priorities across the Indian Ocean region under the theme "Innovation, Openness, Resilience and Adaptability."
Discussions focus on advancing economic development, promoting joint projects and initiatives, and strengthening mechanisms for their implementation and follow-up in a manner that serves the shared interests of member states.
Yemen's participation reflects its commitment to playing an active role in the association's activities and enhancing cooperation and coordination with fellow member states in support of development and stability across the region.
