The Governor of Lahj, Ahmed Turki, along with the Deputy Humanitarian Coordinator of the United Nations in Yemen, and the head of the International Organization for Migration mission in Yemen inspected today the new development and service projects that the International Organization for Migration is currently implementing in the Tuban district.
They were briefed on the level of completion of the project to rehabilitate the Bir Nasser area school in Tuban district, funded by the International Organization for Migration and the medical emergency project at Al-Waht District Hospital in the district.
The organization is also financing the implementation of a project to build a groundwater reservoir for the Al-Hubail area in the Tuban district, with a capacity of 50 cubic meters, rehabilitate its artesian well, and supply and install a solar energy system. The governor had met the UN delegation and praised the positive humanitarian interventions of the International Organization for Migration in Lahj governorate, calling on it to expand its interventions to include remote districts.
