[07/12/2019 06:28]
Taiz - SABA
A team of the UN World Food Program (WFP), OCHA and UNDP headed by Ali Redha, Deputy of Country Director of the program held a session with local authority in Taiz on Saturday.

The meeting aimed to discuss the WFP's humanitarian interventions in the governorate of Taiz which has been suffering from the aggressive besiege imposed by Iran-allied Houthi militia.

The discussions touched upon the difficulties and challenges facing the governorate in the areas of health, food, education and security as a result of the militia's war on Taiz and the years-long blockade it has been imposing.

The WPF's team stated that the program will increase its humanitarian interventions in 2020 to cope with increasingly growing needs of the population at this critical stage.
