The chairman of the Supreme Committee for Relief Abduraqib Fatah said the international silence for the Houthi attack with heavy weapons on a number of Taiz districts and the restriction of the movement freedom of the people in Sana'a is "shameful and unacceptable."
In a statement to Saba, Fatah called on the Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Jamie McGoldrick to pressure on "the Houthi rebel militia to halt shelling the villages of al-Hayma in Taiz and to immediately end the blockade the militia imposes on the population in there."
Fatah said the Houthi shelling and siege of al-Hayma villages "a cowardly terrorist action."
Fatah called on the international aid organizations to move to the government held districts in Beidha province to provide direly needed humanitarian and medical relief aid to the IDPs and the destitute.
"The international community and humanitarian organizations have to be firm in their stance and language toward what the Yemeni civilians are subjected to; abuses that amount to war against humanity," he said.
