The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani discussed Wednesday with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Shaya Zindani the overall situation on the national scene, including political, economic, service-related and social issues.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed the reforms being implemented by the government across various sectors.
The discussions also covered the convening of the House of Representatives, enabling it to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities in supporting reform programs, reviewing public policies and approving the state’s general budget.
The meeting further addressed matters related to the Supreme Tender Board, as well as the legislative measures required by the current circumstances, whether through amending existing laws or issuing new legislation and completing constitutional obligations associated with the work of the executive authority.
