The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and the United Nations Children's Fund convened a roundtable meeting in Aden on Wednesday to discuss UNICEF’s proposed Country Programme Document for the 2027–2029 period and explore priorities for future cooperation.
The session brought together senior government officials, including deputy ministers, directors-general, and technical experts, to examine the draft programme and exchange views on the development, service, and social needs of various national sectors.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Afrah al-Zouba said the preparation of the new programme marks an important step in advancing a strategic partnership focused not only on humanitarian assistance but also on long-term recovery and sustainable development.
She commended UNICEF’s longstanding support for essential public service and social sectors, particularly during the difficult periods the country has experienced in recent years.
