Foreign Minister, Dr. Shaya Zindani, has called for urgent international support for the government to counter Houthi militia threats in the Red Sea region.

Addressing the Munich Leaders Meeting in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Zindani stated that Houthi attacks on commercial ships and international navigation have severely impacted global trade, food security, and humanitarian aid delivery.

"The Red Sea has become a dangerous threat zone," he said, citing links between Houthi militias and extremist networks across the Horn of Africa involved in arms trafficking, human smuggling, and maritime piracy.

Dr. Zindani emphasized that any comprehensive political settlement in Yemen depends on ending Iranian interference and urged collective international action to designate Houthis as a terror organization to restore regional security and stability.
