Leadership Council Chairman Presides Over Government meeting

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, chaired a session of the government, attended by Prime Minister Salem Saleh Bin Braik, at the Al-Mashiq Palace in Aden.

During the session, Al-Alimi congratulated the Prime Minister on gaining the confidence of the political leadership and wished him and the government members success in their national responsibilities.

The President emphasized the government's critical role in institutional building, economic and service recovery, and completing the liberation battle.

He stressed the importance of self-reliance and sustainable resilience in the face of challenges.
Al-Alimi highlighted the significance of Aden as the temporary capital and the need for the government to prioritize its development.

He also emphasized the importance of stabilizing internal operations, ensuring accountability, and enhancing trust with donor communities.

The President called on the government to secure and develop public resources, improve services, and implement a comprehensive recovery plan.

He stressed the need for a realistic austerity policy, development of non-oil resources, and strengthening the central bank's independence.

Al-Alimi also emphasized the importance of partnership with the private sector, activating the oversight system, and combating corruption. He urged the government to facilitate the work of humanitarian agencies and hold accountable those who obstruct aid delivery.

The President reaffirmed the priority of the liberation battle and the need for national unity and integration among all forces and components. He also highlighted the importance of supporting the armed forces, judiciary, and diplomatic efforts to achieve victory and stability.
