The fourth phase of the Artificial Joint Implant Project was completed at the main public hospital in Marib, a significant outcome of the Prosthetics Conference and a continuation of efforts by the Al-Ameen International Association to support healthcare and enhance specialized surgical services.
The project, implemented with funding from Al-Ameen and coordination with local authorities and health officials, involved 96 artificial joint implant surgeries - 59 hip and 37 knee replacements - performed by a specialized medical team.
The project also included post-operative patient care in a rehabilitated ward, development of the operating room with modern equipment, and enhancement of Ma'rib Hospital's capacity to provide quality joint surgery services.
This initiative marks a significant step towards expanding advanced medical technologies and improving lives of patients with chronic joint issues, with efforts ongoing to complete remaining project phases.
