The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned, in the most vehement terms, the egregious practices perpetrated by the terrorist Houthi militia towards employees of UN agencies and international organizations operating in the areas under their control, which resulted in the killing of the employee Ahmed Ba'alawi, an IT operations officer at the World Food Program.

The ministry said in a statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), "While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the martyr who died while being detained in the prisons of the terrorist Houthi militia, it affirms that the perpetuation of these terrorist practices reaffirms once again the militia's blatant disregard for international humanitarian laws."

The ministry also called on the Houthi militia to immediately release all employees of UN agencies and international organizations detained by it, renewing its demand to transfer the headquarters of the United Nations organizations to the temporary capital in Aden to ensure the security and safety of all its employees.
