Hodeidah - Saba

Governor of Hodeidah, Dr. Al-Hassan Taher, discussed with the World Food Program and Vision of Hope International, the program's implementing partner, humanitarian interventions and their upcoming plans in the liberated areas in the south of the province.

This came during his meeting with the Director of the World Food Program office in the West Coast and other WFP staff members.

He referred during the meeting to developments in the critical humanitarian situation of the displaced and the host community in the governorate, and the priorities and needs of the current stage in light of the widening gap between the increasing needs and the weak level of interventions during the last period.

The governor stressed the urgent need to provide more urgent interventions to support all vital sectors, promote economic empowerment and community recovery projects, raise the level of coordination and joint cooperation, and facilitate the beneficiaries' access to their relief rations.

In turn, the WFP official explained that the program is in the process of implementing an update of the beneficiaries' data, praising the level of cooperation and joint coordination with the local authority in the governorate.
