Yemen's cabinet reviews efforts of overturning the coup

The Council of Ministers reviewed in its Saturday's meeting continuous efforts for upending Houthi-Saleh's coup and restoring the abducted state, as well as tackling issues in liberated governorates, especially those related to security and services.

The cabinet discussed military victories being achieved in different fronts for restoration the state from Houthi-Saleh's militias, which insists on pursuing its destructive project with support from Iran.

Presided over by Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-Daghr, the cabinet's meeting renewed commitment of accomplishing the Yemeni people's dream of the new federal of Yemen and confirmed- amidst insistence of the militias on rejecting the political solution- pursuance of regaining the state and upending the coup with support from the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab of Emirates.

The council discussed looting and playing with the state's capabilities by the militias and recent looting of the Barh Cement Plant's equipment and machines.

The cabinet renewed call to the UN, the Security Council and world organizations for practicing serious pressure on the rebel militias to send all revenues they get from their held-areas to the Central Bank of Yemen so that the government will honor its commitments to all Yemeni people.

Prime Minister's visit to Abyan governorate for inspecting people's needs there has been discussed. The council highlighted bringing conditions in Abyan into their normal and that the government will work with the Arab Coalition for cracking down on sources of terrorism.

The council stressed on implementing projects of priority in the governorate and entrusted concerned ministries and local authority to follow up the implementation.

The cabinet discussed ongoing projects in Aden and liberated governorates and the generous support from Saudi Arabia and the UAE for helping the government's efforts to improve services and tighten security.

The Ministers' Council formed a committee under minister of planning and international cooperation and minister of social affairs as heads, as well as ministers of finance, foreign affairs, legal affairs and culture as members. The committee was authorized to evaluate implementation of the cabinet's decision over transferring all government's offices, donor funds and organizations working in Yemen into Aden and setting up active mechanism for relocating all these offices to operate permanently from the interim capital.
