The 50th extraordinary session of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council has strongly condemned and rejected the“criminal Iranian attacks” targeting GCC member states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

In a statement issued following the virtual meeting, the Council denounced the attacks as a grave violation of the sovereignty of the targeted countries, a breach of the principles of good neighborliness, and a clear contravention of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, regardless of the justifications presented. It further stressed that targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law.

The meeting was chaired by Bahrain’s Foreign Minister and current President of the Ministerial Council, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, and was convened to discuss the Iranian missile and drone attacks that began on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
