Ten young journalists participated in a two-day training session organized by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and the European Parliament's Office in Bulgaria, focusing on disinformation campaigns and the European Parliament's work.

European Parliament Member Kristian Vigenin briefed participants on the Parliament's role and his political group's priorities, including simplifying legislation and protecting citizens' rights.

Sociologist Parvan Simeonov discussed Bulgarians' and Europeans' attitudes towards the EU, emphasizing that politics sometimes requires decisions contrary to public opinion to serve the public interest.

Assoc. Prof. Ralitsa Kovacheva led a practical exercise on verifying political claims about the EU, highlighting the need for media to present EU issues with a personal touch to engage audiences.

bTV correspondent Desislava Mincheva demonstrated effective ways for journalists to communicate EU stories simply and clearly.
