Bulgaria's Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh emphasized the importance of integrating the tourism sector into blue and green economies to ensure sustainable development and environmental protection. Speaking at the Black Sea 2030: Partnership for a Sustainable Future International Forum, Borshosh highlighted the need for joint efforts among the state, local authorities, and businesses to protect the coastline and stimulate innovation.

The tourism sector must be aligned with sustainable development and environmental protection to avoid harming future generations, Borshosh stressed. If real actions are not taken to protect the sea and the coast, future generations will inherit a risky and difficult-to-manage environment.

Borshosh noted that conferences like the Black Sea forum play a crucial role in outlining the future of the region and setting frameworks for sustainable resource management and tourism development. He thanked the organizers, scientific community, and young people for their support in promoting blue and green economies.

The minister emphasized that Bulgaria has proven its ability to bear responsibility during economic and geopolitical crises, and now it must demonstrate the same capacity in the face of climate crises.
