Jordan's exports to Arab trade countries grew by 15.6 percent

The Arab Free Trade Area countries accounted for the largest share of Jordan's total exports between trade partners and economic blocs until the end of November 2024, amounting to 3.257 billion dinars, compared to 2.818 billion during the same period of 2023.

Official statistical figures monitored by the Jordan News Agency (Petra) indicated an increase in the value of national exports to the countries of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA) during the same period by 15.6 percent, pointing to the increase in the Kingdom's imports from the major Arab free trade countries for the same period by 8.5 percent, to record 4.694 billion dinars, compared to 4.326 billion dinars for the same period of 2023.

The Kingdom's trade balance deficit with major Arab free trade countries decreased for the same period to reach 1.437 billion dinars, compared to 1.508 billion dinars for the same period in 2023.

The volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and Arab free trade countries for the same period reached 7.951 billion dinars, compared to the same period of 2023, estimated at 7.144 billion dinars.

The GAFTA is known as an economic alliance between Arab countries for economic integration and low-tariff trade exchange, as the GAFTA entered into force in January 2005, and the number of Arab countries is its member 18 countries.
