Intense storms battered scattered areas of the United States, causing heavy snowfall, and dangerous ice storms, as a hurricane hit the state of California and Santa Cruz County, south of San Francisco.
So in California, a tornado near a mall caused cars to fly, trees were uprooted, and several people were injured and taken to the hospital.
The US National Weather Service reported that Santa Cruz County, located south of San Francisco, was one of the most prominently affected areas, with images circulating on social media showing overturned cars and large amounts of flowing water.
