China's foreign trade grew 4.6 percent year-on-year in October, suggesting stronger economic momentum.

The General Authority of Customs said in a statement published by the Chinese news agency (Xinhua) today, Thursday, that China's total imports and exports of goods expanded by 4.6 percent year-on-year in Yuan value in October, accelerating from the increase recorded last September of 0.7 percent.

During the first ten months, the country's foreign merchandise trade rose 5.2 percent year on year to 36.02 trillion Yuan (about 5 trillion US dollars), with exports up 6.7 percent and imports up 3.2 percent.
