South Korea's autos exports rose 4.9 percent year-on-year in September to reach a new record, thanks to the good performance of SUVs and electric vehicles.
According to data released by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the total value of automotive exports reached US$5.5 billion last month, marking the highest level of any September month.
The data noted that the total number of cars exported was 205,574 units, an increase of 4.4 percent during the period. Domestic car sales were 130,685 units, a decrease of 2.3 percent during the period.
