Gold prices rose during trading , today, Tuesday, on 17 September, before the start of the monetary policy meeting of the US Federal Reserve and amid expectations of a possible rate cut.
Gold futures rose less than 0.1 percent to $2,611 an ounce, after hitting an all-time high of $2,613.70 an ounce.
The precious metal hit an all-time high of $2589.59 on Monday.
U.S. gold futures settled at $2,608.60.
