Algeria's National Electoral Authority (NEA) announced that Abdelmadjid Tebboune won a second term in the presidential elections, after obtaining 94.65 percent of the votes.
The NEA said in a statement published by the Algerian Press Agency that the result of the counting inside and outside the country recorded 5630196 votes for the three candidates. The NEA expressed its deep satisfaction with the wide participation of citizens in this electoral entitlement.
Three candidates competed in the presidential elections: incumbent President Abdelmadjid Tebboune as an independent candidate, Youssef Ouchich, first Secretary of the Socialist Forces Front, and Abdelali Hassani Sharif, head of the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP).
