The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, condemned on Wednesday in the strongest terms the aggressive military operation launched by the Israeli occupation on the West Bank, which resulted in the death of more than 11 martyrs and included the imposition of a comprehensive siege on large cities and large areas.

Aboul Gheit said in a press statement that the "brutal" incursions attacks" and killings by the Zionist occupation forces in the cities of the northern West Bank, as well as the destruction of infrastructure and the siege of hospitals represent a "dangerous trend" aimed at subjugating the Palestinian people, overthrowing the remnants of the signed agreements and re-annexing Palestinian lands in implementation of the far-right agenda."

He added that "this trend cannot be separated from the 'dangerous and totally unacceptable' statements made by extremist ministers in the occupation government about Al-Aqsa Mosque."

The Arab League Secretary-General called on the international community not to stand idly by in the face of this escalation, which deliberately pushes the situation in the region to the "brink" and opens new fronts and ignites fires in a way that drags the situation towards "explosion".
