The EU has sanctioned Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Ashtiani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guard, Esmail Qaani, and the head of the Iranian Aviation Industry Organization.
The European Union said those figures are involved either in sending weapons including drones to armed groups that undermine peace and security in the Middle East and the Red Sea region.
A main armed forces command centre, the head of a state aviation company and an electronics company were also subjected to sanctions.
