President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, stressed the need for the international community to move its approach toward the Yemeni situation from words to actions to end human suffering, the grave Houthi violations of human rights and relevant international laws.
In a meeting with the Ambassador of the United States, Steven Fagin, today, Thursday, President of the Presidential Leadership Council appreciated the firm international position on the Yemeni issue, but said, "The time has come to transfer these positions from statements to actions and collective action to push the Houthi militia to deal seriously with the efforts to end the war that these militias ignited, leaving massive destruction and one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.
The President praised the distinguished bilateral relations with the United States of America, and Washington's positions in support of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, and its humanitarian interventions to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and achieve their aspirations to restore state institutions, peace, stability and development.
