Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Thursday, the Charged' Affairs of the embassy of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Yemen Chu Ch'ing.
Aspects of the Yemeni-Chinese bilateral relations and cooperation was key focus of the discussions.
Mr. Ch'ing conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the His Excellency President XI Jinping of the People' Republic of China to Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council on the National Day of the Republic of Yemen May 22.
President al-Alimi highly praised the Chinese supportive stance in support of the Yemeni people, its political leadership and its struggle to restore the State's institutions, security, stability, put an end of the humanitarian suffering caused by Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup.
He also celebrated the robust bilateral relationship between the two friendly countries, voicing his keenness to see further developments in the Yemeni-Chinese relations and cooperation in the forthcoming stage.
