Chairman of the presidential leadership council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Dr. Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, held today, Tuesday, the first meeting of the Supreme Security Committee, as part of the Council's efforts to enhance security and stability in the country.
The meeting included the Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, and the members of the committee, the Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, the heads of the National Security Agency, the Military Intelligence and Military Reconnaissance Authority, and the Undersecretary of the Central Organization for Political Security.
The meeting discussed a number of files, security and military issues, and reviewed the positions taken on them at various levels.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the role of the Supreme Security Committee in improving decision-making and rapid response to confront the threats of terrorist organizations from the Houthis to Al-Qaeda and ISIS, arms and drug smugglers, and organized crime groups serving them.
