President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Tuesday, Charge d 'Affaires Shao Zheng of the Chinese Embassy in Yemen to discuss developments in the local situation and efforts to revive the peace process in Yemen.
The meeting touched on the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the role of the People's Republic of China in promoting international peace and security, including its recent efforts that led to an agreement to resume diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran, in a manner that guarantees Tehran's respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in its internal affairs.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the long-standing bilateral relations with the People's Republic of China, its firm stances on the side of the Yemeni people, their leadership and government, and the alleviation of their human suffering caused by the Houthi militia supported by the Iranian regime.
