[25/02/2023 12:46]

Riyadh – Saba
Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, arrived in Riyadh on a private visit on his way back to Yemen, after a foreign tour that included the Kingdom of Belgium, the European Union headquarters in Brussels, and the Federal Republic of Germany.

The Leadership Council's chairman, along with Council member Faraj al-Bohsoni, had held extensive talks with European leaders about developments in the Yemeni situation, the international pressure required to restore state institutions, and establish peace and stability, in light of the intransigence of the terrorist Houthi militia supported by the Iranian regime.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council gave European officials an account and true narrative about the war that the Houthi militia ignited, and its humanitarian and security repercussions, including on international freedom of navigation and global energy supplies.

At the fifty-ninth Munich Security Conference, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council answered pressing questions about the Yemeni issue, and the role of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in destabilizing the security and stability of the region.

On the sidelines of the conference, the President also held a number of meetings related to the Yemeni issue, and the necessary development interventions to achieve economic and service stability, and to alleviate the long-standing human suffering in the country.

The head of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed to European officials that the Council, with all its components and supporting entities, is keen to deal seriously with good efforts to revive the path of peace and the comprehensive political process that guarantees ending the coup, preserving the security of the region, and addressing all national issues on the basis of "partner in dialogue, partners in implementation and decision-making."
