His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Wednesday, at the Royal Palace in Brussels with His Majesty King Philippe Leopold of Belgium within his current state-visit to the friendly European country.

The King of Belgians welcomed President al-Alimi in his first trip to the Kingdom of Belgium, praising the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and peoples in different fields.

The Belgian Monarch confirmed Brussels' keenness to support all efforts to achieve peace, reestablish security and stability in Yemen.

President al-Alimi expressed appreciation for the Belgian supportive stance within the EU in support of the Yemeni peoples and legitimate leadership to restore the State's institutions, put an end to the Yemeni peoples' humanitarian suffering created by the Iranian regime-backed Terrorist Houthi militias.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council briefed King Philippe on the situations in Yemen including the economic reforms and the government's efforts improve services and manage the hardships, highlighting the need for the European support for the government's reforms.
