Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Presidential Leadership Council meet Qatari Prime Minister in Doha

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Thursday, at the Amiri Diwan in the Qatari capital, Doha, with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani, in the presence of members of the Presidential Leadership Council Sultan Al-Arada, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, and Othman Majali.
During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his appreciation to the State of Qatar and its historical humanitarian stances on the side of the Yemeni people, stressing the importance of pushing the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries to broader horizons, especially in the economic, service, and living fields.
In the meeting, a number of ministers in the accompanying Yemeni government delegation spoke about the priorities of support required from the Qatari side, in the sectors of works, air transport, health, and improving poor livelihoods since the Houthi militia's coup.
For his part, the Qatari Prime Minister affirmed the State of Qatar's keenness to support Yemen in all areas of priority for the Yemeni people and alleviate their human suffering.
