President al-Alimi receives Egyptian Prime Minister

President of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimi received Monday in his residence at Qasr al-Qubbah here Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madboli in a first state visit to him and vice presidents to Egypt.

In the meeting attended by Vice Presidents Aidrus al-Zabidi, Sultan al-Erada, Abdullah al-Alimi and Othman Mujalli, President al-Alimi praised the role of Egypt and its firm position towards the legal leadership in Yemen, including hosting more than a million Yemeni people, who were forced by Houthi militia to leave their homes in Yemen to Egypt.

He also praised attractive constructional progress Egypt is witnessing under the presidency of President Abdulfattah al-Sisi and considered it a gain to Egypt and Arab nation.

He pointed out to priorities of mutual cooperation during the forthcoming period led by preparations for resuming meetings of the Supreme Joint Ministerial Committee and signing cooperation treaties between the two countries, especially in fields of service and humanity, in addition to further facilitations to residents and comers to Egyptian territories.

President al-Alimi touched upon latest economic and service developments in liberated provinces and initiatives of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Government for supporting peace efforts and realizing the truce despite Houthi militia's stubbornness and continuous mobilization for war.

For his part, the Egyptian Prime Minister confirmed keenness of his government on boosting cooperation between the two countries in different fields to promote historical relations between the two countries and peoples.

He pointed out that the Egyptian government is opened to all forms of support, including providing more facilitations associated with visas and residences to Yemeni residents in Egypt.
