Leadership Council briefed on developments in the diplomatic movement regarding truce

The Presidential Leadership Council held a meeting headed by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi today in which he discussed the developments and results of the great diplomatic movement in the temporary capital Aden which has led to the renewal of the humanitarian truce and alleviation of the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The meeting was held in the presence of all the Vice-Chairmen of the Council, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Abdul Rahman Al-Mahrami, Abdullah Al-Alimi, Faraj Al-Bahsani, and through the Department of Visual Communication Sultan Al-Arada, Tariq Saleh and Othman Majali.

The Council heard from His Excellency the President a report on the results of the meetings with the UN and American envoys and the ambassadors of the United States and the European Union, during which the Leadership Council affirmed its firm position regarding the terms and requirements of extending the truce and creating the conditions for achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the country.

The Chairman of the Leadership Council and his deputies affirmed the keenness of the Council and the legitimate government to support all endeavors to make the efforts of the United Nations envoy succeed and push the Houthi militias to fulfill their commitments related to opening the Taiz crossings, and disbursing the salaries of employees from the revenues of oil derivatives ships arriving at the ports of Hodeidah, with the facilitation of the Council and the Coalition to Support Legitimacy.

In another context, the Presidential Leadership Council discussed the conditions of the Yemeni Airlines Company and the challenges it faces, and approved in this regard a number of reforms aimed at improving the company's services, in a manner befitting the reputation of the first national carrier in the country.
