President Hadi appreciates US efforts to support Yemen
[06/01/2019 02:41]

RIYADH-SABA
President of the Republic Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi praised the US efforts to support Yemen's security, stability, unity, legitimate leadership and political process aimed to establish peace based on the three main terms of reference including GCC's Initiative, its implementation mechanism, outcomes of National Dialogue and International Security Council resolution 2216 and other relevant resolutions.

As he met Sunday with the US Ambassador to our country Mathew Tuller President Hadi voiced appreciation for the US administration's supportive stances in supporting Yemen at the international stages.

He also appreciated American aids to the Yemeni people and support to the Yemeni government in fighting terrorism and extremism.

The President touched upon the situations and latest developments in the Yemeni national scene.. He cited the Houthi putschist militia's reluctance about peace.

" The militia has continued to postpone the implementation of Stockholm's Agreement, carry out attacks against civilians, loot relief aids, deny access to the militia controlled regions, sell food aids in black market, further exacerbating the Yemeni peoples' suffering", Hadi said.

The President insisted that International Community should act firmly to pressure the Houthi militia to stop its attacks against the civilians, pull its militiamen out of Hodeidah city and seaport under Stockholm's Agreement.

President Hadi reiterated the government's permanent interest in establishing peace that is based on the three terms of reference as this is the only single way for the country to get out of current dilemma created by Houthi putschist militia.

The American diplomat reiterated his country's support for Yemen's security, stability, unity and legitimate government headed by President Hadi.

Mr Tuller also underscored the importance of implementing the Stockholm's Agreement in order to reestablish security and stability all over Yemen.
