President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has appointed the country's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Khaled Hussein Alyemany a minister of foreign affairs in place of Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi who has been appointed a presidential advisor instead.
Dr. Ahmed Awadh bin-Mubarak will assume the role of Yemen's representative to the United Nations, while retaining his current position as ambassador to the United States.
