Yemen's President received a on Saturday feedback from a Saudi-Yemeni military panel that had been tasked earlier this month with defusing Emirati-Yemeni tensions over Socotra and overseeing re-normalization of situations following the UAE's deployment of troops in the archipelago.
President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces met the panel's head, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Arab Coalition Marshal Ahmad Al-Shehri and other members; the Director of the Office of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Maj. Gen. Ahmed al-Aqeeli, the Commander of the Naval and Coastal Defense Force, Maj. Gen. Abdullah al-Nokhaee as well the military attaché at the Yemeni embassy in Riyadh Brig. Gen. Yahya al-Wuayl.
The panel gave Hadi a detailed account of their accomplishments in defusing the tensions and re-normalizing the situation in the Arabia Sea archipleago. Praising the panel's efforts, Hadi said they will eventually serve the unity of the Arab Coalition and its prime goal of restoring the Yemeni state.
