President phone calls Endowments Minister on pilgrims' safety

President Abdu R. Mansour Hadi phone called the Minister of Endowments Ahmed Atiya on Monday to follow up on the safety of Yemeni pilgrims after a fire broke up in their hotel of residence in Mecca earlier in the day.
All 600 residents, most of whom had come from Turkey and Yemen for the haj pilgrimage, were evacuated and no casualties were reported, according to Saudi civil defense forces.
The Minister affirmed to the President that no Yemeni casualties were incurred in the fire obviously and that he personally participated with the Saudi firemen in putting down the fire.
The President was briefed about the measures taken to secure the Yemeni pilgrims and avoid such incidents.
