President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi on Wednesday received UN Special Envoy to Yemen Esmail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, discussing Yemen's updates and possibilities of reaching a comprehensive and permanent peace.
The president praised efforts made by the United Nations and its special envoy to Yemen in helping the Yemeni people .
He affirmed that the government is committed to reach peace on the basis of the terms of references which include the GCC Deal, the National Dialogue Conference and the UN resolution 2216.
He noted that the Houthi-Saleh militias reject all peace initiatives aiming to end Yemenis' suffering, calling the international community to pressure the Houthi-Saleh militias to change its arrogant attitudes.
For his part, the UN envoy to Yemen highly valued efforts made by President Hadi for the sake of peace and alleviating the Yemeni people's suffering.
He reiterated that the international community stands by the legitimate government, presenting an overview to Hadi about his recent round and meetings.
