President Abdu R. Mansour Hadi has discussed with a visiting US mission the dire consequences that befell the nation as a result of the Saleh-Houthi militias' takeover since late 2014 andefforts being madeto push the rebels.

The mission the president met were the US ex-ambassador to Yemen, currently the executive vice president of the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington, Stephen A.
Seche and avisiting fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Eric Pelofsky.

Hadi appreciated the US and international community's support to the Yemeni state restoration process and their condemning of the rebels' attacks on Yemen's people and neighbors.

Hadi praised the Arab coalition's helping of Yemen to restore its state, fight terrorism of all forms and pave the way for its modern federal state by achieving peace and security.

Hadi reiterated Yemen's commitment to the choice of peace as per the three terms of references; the GCC brokered Initiative, the National Dialogue outcomes and the pertinent UNSC resolutions, especially resolution no. 2216.
