Riyadh, (Saba)- President Abdo Rabbo Manshour Hadi discussed Monday with US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tueller latest developments in Yemen and peace efforts for upending Houthi-Saleh's coup against legal authority, as well as implementation of UN Resolution 2216.
President Hadi renewed call for peace and harmony via overturning the coup and lifting the siege on cities as practical translation to the UN resolutions, mainly Resolution 2216, and completing implementation of GCC Initiative and outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference.
President Hadi stressed on his keenness on peaceful solutions and on his responsibility towards all Yemeni people.
For his part, Tueller valued efforts of the president for realizing peace, ending the war and the coup and restoring order in Yemen. He confirmed US support to Yemen and its legitimacy for the sake of peace, which is based on the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN resolutions.
The meeting dealt also with cooperation and coordination between Yemen and the United States in different fields with common interests.
