Riyadh (Saba)-President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi on Sunday received the UK Ambassador to Yemen Simon Shercliff.
During the meeting, a number of mutual issues of the two friendly states were discussed at various levels.
During the meeting, President Hadi welcomed the ambassador, extending his condolences to the British Government on the terror act which left three victims dead in London.
President Hadi affirmed that terrorism has no religion or homeland and that is a threat to the entire world, indicating that all nations should cooperate to root it up.
He also spoke about Yemen's updates and efforts of the government to restore security and stability, and put an end to the coup and its supporters.
Hadi cited that United Kingdom is an active partner and supporter of Yemen, pointing out that it supervised the implementation of the GCC-brokered initiative and the National Dialogue Conference.
"The role of the United Kingdom in the political and development fields was active and it cooperated with Yemen to hold a conference in New York to mobilize donors supporting Yemen" President Hadi added.
For his part, the ambassador expressed pleasure to hold a meeting with Hadi for consultation and sustaining peace efforts, appreciating Hadi's efforts in this regard.
Shercliffalso voiced solidarity of the UK with Yemen and its legitimate government, stressing that the UK is a main partner of Yemen and that it will work to help Yemen overcome all its challenges and difficulties.
