Yemen’s top economic advisory body, led by Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dr.Shaya Zindani, met Thursday to assess the country’s dire economic and financial situation and service sector gaps, and outline steps to stabilize conditions and alleviate hardship.

Gathered in Aden, the Supreme Economic Council examined progress on reforms, implementation of Presidential Leadership Council decision No. 11 endorsing a priority economic overhaul plan, and measures to strengthen public institutions’ effectiveness. It issued a series of decisions and recommendations.

PM Zindani emphasized that tackling current economic woes demands cohesive national effort and institutional alignment. The government, he said, is focused on citizens’ welfare and essential services, pursuing practical fixes to address gaps and upgrade financial and administrative performance.
