His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) received today, Wednesday, at Ma'shiq Palace in the temporary capital Aden, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Yemen Thomas Friedrich.
Yemeni-German bilateral relations and cooperation was key focus of the talks.
They also conferred over the developments in the Yemeni national arena, progress realized in the government's ongoing reforms program and the needed interventions by Germany and the European Union to ease the hardships the Yemeni people have been struggling with due to war triggered by the Iranian regime backed terrorist Houthi militias.
President al-Alimi greatly valued the significant contribution of the Federal Republic of Germany to the development and humanitarian actions in Yemen.
" We're deeply grateful to the Federal Republic of Germany for its supportive stance in support of the Yemeni people and its political leadership", al-Alimi said.
The President restated that the PLC and the government are committed to make the sustainable and comprehensive peace that is based on the references agreed on nationally, regionally and internationally, namely the UNSC resolution 2216.
