President al-Alimi receives German Foreign Minister

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, along with Council Member Major General Aidaroos al-Zubaidi, received Thursday Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Johann David Fadivol.

The meeting touched on the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, in addition to developments in the local situation, and the German and European interventions required to support government reform efforts and strengthen the position of the national currency
And alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, which was exacerbated by the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.

President al-Alimi praised the position of the Federal Republic of Germany alongside the Yemeni people and their political leadership, expressing his aspiration to double economic, development, and humanitarian interventions to improve the position of the national currency, living conditions, and basic services, and to complete comprehensive reform efforts.

The meeting also touched on the ongoing Houthi threats to international peace and security, with close support from the Iranian regime, through ongoing attacks on international shipping lines and explicit service with terrorist organizations, as well as the increasing risks resulting from the continued flow of Iranian weapons to terrorist militias.

The President reiterated the urgent need for a collective global approach to support the government in confronting economic and humanitarian challenges, strengthening its capabilities in combating terrorism and organized crime, and securing its territorial waters.

For his part, the German Foreign Minister affirmed his country's support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in achieving the aspirations of the Yemeni people and alleviating their humanitarian suffering.

Minister Fadeevol announced an increase in German support for the Yemeni people and government, and his country's readiness to strengthen and expand cooperation programs at all levels.
