His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) confirmed the commitment of the PLC and the government to strengthen the judicial and law enforcement institutions and human rights organizations.
His remark came during his meeting today, Tuesday, the National Committee for Investigation into Alleged Human Rights Violations (NCIAHV) headed by Judge Ahmed al-Maflahi.
"The PLC and the government are committed to provide the NCIAHV with the necessary assistance to enable it doing its job efficiently. We're very keen to strengthen the judicial, security and law enforcement services", he said.
Judge al-Maflahi handed over the 12th Report of the NCIAHV to the President al-Alimi.
The President praised the NCIAHV's efforts to document the violations of human rights and to report about.
He directed the government and concerned authorities to cooperate with the NCIAHV, ease the movement of its staff and deal responsibly with what it documents and reports about of the violations of human rights.
The Committee's 12th Report covered the period from August 1, 2023 to July 31, 2024.
The Report provided a detailed documentation of (3055) allegations of violations of human rights in the different Yemeni governorates. The violations distributed to 36 types of violations that 13028 victims of men and women suffered.
