Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, received today the US Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin.
They discussed US-Yemeni relations and their future prospects, in addition to ways of promoting the bilateral partnership.
Talks went over the latest developments in the Yemeni situation, comprehensive reform efforts, and the international support needed to limit the impact of Houthi terrorist attacks on oil facilities, international shipping lines, and maritime cargo vessels and their catastrophic humanitarian impact.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council hailed the distinguished bilateral relations with the United States, and its humanitarian and development interventions, expressing his aspiration for a broader bilateral partnership to confront challenges and deter threats to the national and regional security and stability.
