President al-Alimi receives Head of EU Delegation, German Ambassador

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) received today, Monday, the Head of the EU Delegation Gabriel Vinals and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Yemen Hubert Jager.

The talks covered the developments of the situations in the Yemeni national scene in different fields, including the economic and financial challenges due to the cessation of oil exports as a result of the Houthis' terrorist attacks on oil facilities, the international shipping lanes and the subsequent repercussions on the humanitarian, living conditions and basic services.

The conversations also touched on the economic, financial and administrative reforms led by the PLC and the government with support by regional and international partners, the needed European interventions to prop up the Yemeni economic, further increase the humanitarian and developmental pledges in different fields.

President al-Alimi updated the European Ambassadors on the latest developments about the Yemeni situations, the grave violations of the terrorist Houthi militias against human rights and the militias' devastating measures against the national economy and the chances of the decent livelihoods.
